Binibining Pilipinas 1965 Louise Vail Aurelio, the Philippine delegate to the Miss Universe 1965 placed semifinalist to Miss Thailand Apasra Hongsakula who was crowned as the winner.

Binibining Pilipinas 1965 was the second edition of the Miss Pilipinas pageant, held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City , Philippines on July 4, 1965. with 21 Participants 





Louise Vail Aurelio went on to emerge as a top 15 semifinalist in Miss Universe, only one of two Asians to make it, the other being Thailand's Apasra Hongsakula who would eventually be crowned as Miss Universe 1965. 

Isabel Barnett Santos was Binibining Pilipinas 1965 1st Runner up but sent to Miss International 1965 

Santos was unplaced in Miss International where the Philippines' Miss International 1964 Gemma Cruz crowned Germany's Ingrid Fifi Finger as her successor.

For the first 10 years these were staged at the Palacio de la Lonja in Zaragoza, Spain. The city was the headquarters of the organizer, the Goya International, which ran the pageants in cooperation with the officials of Zaragoza City Provincial Delegation for Tourism. Later the pageants were held in different locations in Latin America and Spain. The pageant was discontinued after 1991, and in 1995 it was revived under name of Maja del Mundo. However, it was held just that once. Another pageant, Miss Maja World, was begun in Colombia in 2004. The Pageant was supposedly scheduled on July 3 due to Typhoon Dading but it was moved in July 5 1964 Myrna Sese Panlilio was crowned by Miss Philippines 1963 Lalaine Bennett.The runners-up are Milagros Cataag;Binibining Pilipinas Waling-waling(1st RU) and Elvira Gonzales;Binibining Pilipinas Ilang-ilang(2nd RU).
