© Pageantspolist    Miss Maja International information and Results Maja International was held annually from 1966 to 1989. For the first 10 years these were staged at the Palacio de la Lonja in Zaragoza, Spain. The city was the headquarters of the organizer, the Goya International, which ran the pageants in cooperation with the officials of Zaragoza City Provincial Delegation for Tourism. Later the pageants were held in different locations in Latin America and Spain. The pageant was discontinued after 1991, and in 1995 it was revived under name of Maja del Mundo. The Pageant was supposedly scheduled on July 3 due to Typhoon Dading but it was moved in July 5 1964 Myrna Sese Panlilio was crowned by Miss Philippines 1963 Lalaine Bennett.The runners-up are Milagros Cataag;Binibining Pilipinas Waling-waling(1st RU) and Elvira Gonzales;Binibining Pilipinas Ilang-ilang(2nd RU).
