© Pageantspolist    Miss Maja International information and Results Maja International was held annually from 1966 to 1989. For the first 10 years these were staged at the Palacio de la Lonja in Zaragoza, Spain. The city was the headquarters of the organizer, the Goya International, which ran the pageants in cooperation with the officials of Zaragoza City Provincial Delegation for Tourism. Later the pageants were held in different locations in Latin America and Spain. The pageant was discontinued after 1991, and in 1995 it was revived under name of Maja del Mundo. However, it was held just that once. Another pageant, Miss Maja World, was begun in Colombia in 2004.             Maria Clarinda Soriano Miss Pilipinas 1966 was the third edition of the Miss Pilipinas pageant, held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City , Philippines on July 1, 1966. With 25 Participants After the competition, Louise Vail Aurelio of Iloilo City crowned Maria Clarinda Soriano of Bacoor as Miss Pilipinas 1966. Elizabeth Luciano Winsett of Pampanga finished as first runner-up , while Lillian Elizabeth Carriedo finished as second runner-up.  Twenty-five candidates participated in this edition. Cris De Vera and Pete Cruzado led the competition. Jean Lopez, Eddie Mesa and the Reycard Duet performed in this edition. Miss Queen of Pacific Quest   about The Melbourne Moomba Festival was Australia's largest festival, with an emphasis on cultural and sporting activities, entertainment and pageantry. It held an annual event, Queen of the Pacific Quest, during March from 1967 to 1977.   It was not held in 1978, and probably not in 1979. In 1980, it was renamed Miss Moomba Tourism Quest, and in 1981 Miss International Tourism Quest. It was discontinued after 1983.
